All children in Reception, Years 1 & 2 have access to free school meals via the Government's Universal Infant Free School Meals initiative. Infant free school meals forms part of the Government's School Food Plan.
From the beginning of Juniors (Year 3), parents must pay if they want their child to continue receiving a school meal. Meals are charged at £2.34 per day and payments can be topped up via ParentMail at anytime.
If you would prefer your child to enjoy a healthy packed lunch, prepared at home, we are very supportive of this choice too. Please see our healthy packed lunch guide attached below and please always remember we are a no nuts school.
Whatever lunch option you prefer for your child, we do ask that all children maintain the same option for a whole week at a time. It isn't possible to swap between packed lunches and school dinners during the week.
School dinners at St Joseph's are delicious and very well received by the children. We are fortunate to be partners in the mission of creating wholesome school dinners with our independent caterers, Edwards & Ward.
Our caterers are experienced in providing for all dietary requirements and needs. If your child has a special dietary requirement, simply complete the attached form and return it to the School Office.
